- 1997Chris merges his company with Impact Building Maintenance. The combined business becomes Impact Cleaning Services, focused on janitorial work.
- 2000sChris becomes President and sole shareholder. His three children, George, Yiannis and Georgia, join the business.

How we work
Our Principles
Impact runs on three principles. They are published so customers and staff can hold the company to them.
Be agile
Always there, always ready. A 24-hour call centre, teams that work every day of the year, and emergency response on site in two hours or less.
Be partners
Team work makes clean work. As a family-owned business, Impact builds long-term relationships rather than chasing quarterly targets, with what it calls high integrity and hyper transparency.
Be progressive
Never stop learning. Continuous iteration, sustainable sourcing and a culture of constant learning for cleaning teams.
Quality control
How We Keep Standards Up
Cleaning should not be complicated. Every property is different, but the process is kept simple so teams can deliver repeatable results: communicate clearly, train thoroughly, inspect the work.
Inspections and data
Supervisors audit completed work with OrangeQC, an inspection app that scores each visit and tracks results over time. Mero sensors provide real-time data on how spaces are used, so effort goes where traffic is. The Impact App handles communication, training and recognition for cleaning teams. In select environments Impact also deploys autonomous cleaning equipment.
People and training
Staff are bonded, insured and background-checked. Every team is trained on the health and safety requirements of the site it works in before the first visit, and the Impact App carries ongoing training and recognition to cleaners wherever they are. Impact's own health and safety and supply-chain policies have been audited through ComplyWorks since 2006, and the company is a ContractorCheck accredited member.
Certification
Impact holds ISSA CIMS-GB certification with honours. CIMS is the Cleaning Industry Management Standard; the GB designation covers green-building practice. The certification is renewed through an external audit every two years and covers management systems, quality, service delivery, health and safety and environmental stewardship. Impact is also an IICRC certified firm for carpet cleaning and restoration.
Products
Cleaning products are EcoLogo or Green Seal certified and approved by Health Canada.
